Oxygen Therapy
These are our Oxygen Therapy pages. If you were just recently prescribed oxygen, we hope that they answer some of your questions and alleviates all of your fears. If you are already on oxygen, we hope that they give you the information you are looking for.

Tests and Diagnosing. You get short of breath. You ask your doctor about it. Your doctor orders tests. Let's look at some of those tests and what they mean. Follow the links shown for more detailed information.

Equipment. Your doctor has prescribed oxygen. That's right, prescribed. It is classified as a "prescription drug." You need a written prescription to use oxygen. So, you are prescribed oxygen. There are three different oxygen systems generally available. Which one you receive depends upon a number of factors, your doctor, the area you live in and also your oxygen supplier itself.

Delivery This page has links to sites that show you how you get the oxygen from your concentrator or oxygen vessel to you. Includes cannulas, etc.

Accessories These are things you may need. A couple are absolutely essential. Not everyone uses or needs all of these products, but some are quite handy.

Portable Equipment Everyone needs a portable system of some kind. This will enable you to leave your home, visit friends, go shopping, whatever!

Traveling with Oxygen Just because you are on oxygen doesn't mean you are stuck at home all the time. You can travel. There are ways this can be accomplished.
