| There are hundreds of different types of treatments for our autoimmune diseases. On this page will will try to describe some of those treatments. The first was our Oxygen Therapy page. Next came Medication. And now we have Medication Programs. This one links to or describes different medication programs that are available for lower-income or Medicare patients. We know how expensive our meds can be. There are now several places where they can be obtained less expensively or where discounts can be found. |

Medication Programs |

We decided to add a page with as many of the
available drug programs as we could find. There are a lot of
them out there. The problem has been finding them. We hope this
list will help. Prescription Drug Assistance Programs - Welcome to the Prescription Drug Assistance Programs section of Medicare.gov. This section provides information on programs that offer discounts or free medication to individuals in need. RxAssist. RxAssist provides health care providers with information on accessing more than 100 pharmaceutical manufacturers' patient assistance programs. These programs usually offer a limited supply of free prescription medication to eligible patients. The Medicine Program! This organization was established by volunteers dedicated to alleviating the plight of an ever increasing number of patients who cannot afford their prescription medication. Pharmaceutical Companies. Extensive list of drug companies that have a web site. Some have assist programs listed on their web sites. Drugs you can purchase only from Canada are sometimes a less expensive option. We have found two companies that do this, but there are others. (We in no way recommend any of these pharmacies. They are listed only to give examples of what is available.)
Eli Lilly Offers - Eli Lilly and Company have announced a program called "LillyAnswers" which will offer immediate benefit to Medicare beneficiaries eligible for the program. Lilly drugs will be offered at a flat $12 fee for a 30-day supply to qualified individuals. Try this search of "drug assistance programs" at Google. You will get a great list of sites.
